Safitri Malik Soulisa Takes Oath as Regent of South Buru
AMBON, LELEMUKU.COM – Maluku Governor Murad Ismail inaugurated Safitri Malik Soulisa and Gerson Eliaser Selsily as Regent and Deputy Regent in South Buru Regency.
They both took an oath to be the leader of South Buru district until 2026.
The inauguration was held at the Maluku Governor's Office in Ambon City on Tuesday (22/6/2021).
They both won the general election on December 9, 2020.
Safitri and Gerson received 16,847 votes.
The Governor of Maluku asked the two officials to really serve the community.
The governor also asked the people of South Buru to support the new government.
Murad Ismail said Maluku is currently suffering from natural disasters. He asked the two leaders to make efforts to save their people.
The governor also asked them both to prosper the community. Managing existing natural resources so that future generations can enjoy them.
Murad Ismail also thanked the former district head, Tagop Soulisa, who had led the area for 10 years. (Batlax)
